    We are looking for a Security Officer to join our security team in Albuquerque, NM.

 
This PRN job is at   Lovelace Medical Center, in the heart of Albuquerque, is an acute care hospital providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, cardiology, stroke care, radiology and oncology services, including the state’s only Gamma Knife Center for non-invasive radiologic brain surgery.

Security Office Job Resposibilities: 
 

  • Our Security Officers provide personal, equipment, and property security for assigned area and may provide information, directions, and escort service as needed.

  • Security Officers provides personal, equipment, and property security for assigned area to include but not limited to patrolling and examining assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle and examining doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.

  • He or she informs and warns violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.

Security Office Education and Experience Job Requirements: 

  • Security Officer Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • One (1) year of related experience, Hospital environment desired

  • Completed security guard training though an approved agency Level I and II or obtain within 6 months of hire.

  • Will be certified in taser, baton and handcuffing.

  • Training in de-escalation and patient immobilization.

  • CPR Certification, desired.

  • In order to drive a Lovelace owned vehicle you must possess a valid NM driver’s license on your person no DUI/DWI within the last five years.

  • Must possess a current State of New Mexico Guard Card level II or obtain within 6 months of hire.

  • Required to wear Body Armor, taser, baton, and handcuff associated gear while on duty

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to deal with stressful and emergency situations

  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures

  • Ability to work independently
