Radiation Therapist, Radiation Oncology, PRN, Day

We’re hiring a Radiation Therapist to join our Radiation Oncology team in Albuquerque, NM.

This PRN job is located at Lovelace Medical Center in the heart of Albuquerque, an acute care hospital providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, cardiology, stroke care, radiology and oncology services, including the state’s only Gamma Knife Center for non-invasive radiologic brain surgery.
  Radiation Therapist Responsibilities; 
  • The Radiation Therapist provides healthcare services using ionizing radiation to administer treatment of cancer in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist. 
  • This individual p erforms therapeutic, diagnostic and quality control procedures and a dheres to policies, procedure and regulation to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Radiation Therapist Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum: Graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) radiologic program or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of a variety of software applicants programs.
  • Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Radiation Safety procedures.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • One (1) year of related experience.
  • NM Radiation Therapy License; 
  • Current CPR Certified
