Physical   Therapy Assistant-Outpatient, Physical Therapy, PRN , Variable Hours 

We are looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Outpatient team in Albuquerque, NM. 

  The ideal candidate has availability both weekdays and weekends .  

This PRN job is located at   Lovelace Westside Hospital. We   provide care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio   Rancho, including the area’s only inpatient pediatric unit, a kid-friendly emergency   room and senior care emergency room services. Named a Pinwheel Champion by the Institute for Patient and Family-Centered Care.    

Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities: 
  • Provides therapy treatment to patients with developmental, physical, cognitive and/or emotional impairments, disabilities and/or handicaps under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

  • Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.   

  Physical Therapist Assistant Education and Experience Job Requirements:

  • Minimum:  Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant

  • Ability to communicate effectively, provide quality care, maintain concise and timely documentation, identify the need for treatment implementation and function well in a team setting.

  • Minimum:  No directly related experience

  • Desired: One (1) year related experience

  • Licensed or licensure eligible PTA in the State of New Mexico; CPR
