Occupational Therapist/OT: Inpatient Acute Care, PRN, Days, Albuquerque, NM

We are looking for a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our Women’s Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. 
 

This PRN job is located at Lovelace Women’s Hospital, the first and only hospital in New Mexico dedicated to women’s health. We offer a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, a natural birthing center, an award-winning breast care center and the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation. 
 

Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • The Occupational Therapist/OT is responsible for providing occupational therapy treatment in the rehabilitation of individuals with developmental, physical, cognitive and/or emotional impairments, disabilities and/or handicaps. 
  • This individual provides detailed and concise documentation of evaluation, treatment, interim reports, and discharge evaluations within departmental timelines. The OT provides all necessary documentation required for on-going patient care.

Occupational Therapist Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Desired: Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • No directly related experience required
  • Desired: One (1) year experience in job related environment
  • Current Licensure or licensure eligible in Occupational Therapy in State of New Mexico
  • Current BLS
  • Ability to communicate effectively and finish tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to follow oral and written instruction and established procedures
