Lovelace Medical Group is now hiring an Outpatient Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider at its New Mexico Heart Institute Clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico

As we grow to best serve the needs of our communities we are excited to add an Outpatient Cardiology APP to our care team!

Job Summary:

  • Prevent and treat diseases of the cardiovascular system
  • Promote heart health and provide rehabilitation to those who’ve undergone surgery or treatment for heart ailments
  • Collaborate with other providers across the health system departments to provide a treatment plan catered to patient’s needs.
  • Provide clinical care to patients in accordance with regulations to include but not limited to obtaining patient history, ordering labs, diagnostic studies, and arranging referrals.
  • Refer patient to medical specialist or other providers when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and medical staff in coordinated care.
  • Uphold excellent bedside manners and ability to create a great patient experience.
  • Advise patients concerning aliments related to the heart health.
  • Ability to explain medical procedures and plan of care to patients.
  • Attends departmental meetings and professional training sessions as requested.
  • Adherence and knowledge of laws to internal medicine, including HIPAA.

  • Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant School; Certificate in Coding highly preferred
  • License to practice in New Mexico as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
  • Board certified by a nationally recognized certifying organization
  • Basic Life Support Certification & Advance Cardiac Life Support Certification
  • DEA certificate and NM Board of Pharmacy Controlled Substance Certificate
