  Lovelace     Medical Center     ,    in the heart of Albuquerque, is an acute care hospital    
  providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical
  services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, cardiology, stroke care, radiology and
  oncology services, including the state’s only Gamma Knife Center for non-invasive
  radiologic brain surgery.

  Lovelace Medical Center   is hiring a Physicist  

  • The MS level Radiation Therapeutic Physicist has an academic Master’s Degree and at least one academic degree in Physics or a closely allied science.

  •   He/She is a member of the radiation therapy treatment team who is familiar with the physical and geometric characteristics of the radiation equipment and radioactive so urces commonly employed, and he/she has the training and expertise necessary to measure and generate radiation, output, dose distributions and calculations without any close supervision.

  •   The MS level Physicist is expected to be Board Certified (ABR, ABMP, or equivalent) before completion of the 5th year of service.


  • Board Certification (ABR, ABMP, or equivalent) before completion of the 5th year of service.

  • MS or PhD in Medical Physics or a closely related allied science , 3 +yrs. experience preferred

  • Certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics by ABR, ABMP or equivalent.
