Lovelace Regional Hospital is now hiring a General Surgeon Physician in Roswell, New Mexico.

  Lovelace Medical Group is a multispecialty provider group, which includes clinics, Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in a broad range of specialties and Primary Care. We provide patients with exceptional health care through the support of Lovelace Health System hospitals and technology.

 Job Summary:

  • Provide clinical care to patients in accordance with regulations to include but not limited to obtaining patient history, ordering labs, diagnostic studies, and arranging referrals.
  • Perform general surgeries including hernia repair, cholecystectomy, abscess drainage, endoscopy, colonoscopy), appendectomy, small bowel, and colon surgery.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and medical staff to coordinated care.
  • Uphold excellent bedside manners and ability to create a great patient experience.
  • Review test results with patient and family to identify any abnormal findings.
  • Provide an explanation of medical procedures and plan of care to patients.
  • Attends departmental meetings and professional training sessions as requested.
  • Adherence and knowledge of laws to internal medicine, including HIPPA.

  • Current board certification or currently board eligible        
  • Successful completion of an accredited Gastroenterology residency program.
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of NM
