EKG Tech, ICU, Full- Time job, Nights, Albuquerque, NM

We are looking for an EKG Tech to join our Intensive Care Unit in Albuquerque, NM.
 
This full-time job is located at   Lovelace Westside Hospital provides care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio Rancho, including the area’s only inpatient pediatric unit, a kid-friendly emergency room and senior care emergency room services. Named a Pinwheel Champion by the Institute for Patient and Family-Centered Care. 

  EKG Tech Job Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for monitoring EKG rhythm strips, transcribing physician orders and performing other support duties to include but not limited to paging physicians, obtaining insurance pre-certification, arranging for home and medical care and coordinating desk activities. 

EKG Tech Education and Experience Requirements:
 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Desired: Associate’s Degree in related field
  • One (1) year of previous related medical office experience
  • Desired: One (1) year in specialty
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Medical Terminology knowledge
  • Essential skills of a PCT
  • Skilled in a variety of software applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy and consistency
  • Ability to demonstrate arrhythmia recognition
