Customer Service Coordinator, Full-Time job, Days, Albuquerque, NM

We are looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join our team in Albuquerque, NM.

 
This full-time job is located at  New Mexico Heart Institute, the largest private cardiology practice in the state serving patients in 25 different New Mexican communities, with care delivered in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. NMHI practices state-of-the-art medicine by employing the latest cardiovascular imaging and fully integrated interventional, cardio-thoracic, and vascular surgical approaches. The Institute’s services, a number of which are conducted in conjunction with the Heart Hospital of New Mexico, located next door, address a full-range of preventive, diagnostic, treatment, surgical, and rehabilitation needs. 
 
 
  Customer Service Coordinator Job Responsibilities: 

  •   Provides direct customer service and front desk assistance for assigned department to include but not limited to admitting, registering, scheduling and verifying insurance. 
  •   CSC also h     andles customer account transactions, provides customer assistance, and performs and/or oversees cashiering operations. 

Customer Service Coordinator Education and Experience Requirements:
 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Desired: Associate’s Degree in related field of study
  • Medical terminology
  •   One (1) year of previously related experience
  • Preferred: Previous medical office experience
  • Preferred: Heart Saver
  •   Ability to type and enter data efficiently and accurately. 
  •   Ability to work independently. 
  •   Ability to communicate effectively. 
  •   Knowledge of office procedures. 
  •   Knowledge of insurance plans.
