Lovelace Women’s Hospital is hiring a Customer Service Coordinator, PRN - Variable

 

  The Customer Service Coordinator provides direct customer service and front desk assistance for assigned department to include but not limited to admitting, registering, scheduling and verifying insurance. Handles customer account transactions, provides customer assistance, and performs and/or oversees cashiering operations.  Expected to adhere to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.   


    PRN means “as needed.” This type of work schedule is common in allied health and medical professions. Although working PRN shares similarities with working part time, PRN positions differ in that the schedule changes and a certain number of hours aren’t guaranteed per week.  Along with working as scheduled, employees who are hired into PRN positions may be expected to cover unexpected absences as needed by the hospital.  Since hospitals are a 24/7 operation, we are seeking candidates who are willing to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays as needed.     
 

Customer Service Coordinator Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Desired: Associate’s Degree in related field of study
  • Technical/Formal Training: Medical Terminology
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: ability to type and enter data efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of office procedures.
  • Knowledge of insurance plans.
  • Skilled in a variety of software applications.
  • One (1) year of previously related experience.
  • Preferred: Previous medical office experience.
  • Licensure: Preferred: Heart Saver
