Lovelace Medical Group is now a Sr. Financial Analyst for the Accounting Team!

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes general ledger accounts and works closely with accounting to make necessary adjustments.
  • Analyzes profitability of negotiated contracts, reports results to management and assists in RO and Pro Formas for new lines of business and services.
  • Analyzes trends in revenues, adjustments/denials by type to support the objectives of the Revenue Cycle Committee.
  • Assists the Controller and CFO in performing break even analysis and bonus structure recommendations for physician employment contracts.
  • Commands a complete understanding of the billing and reporting systems, databases as well as standard MS application, including Excel, Power Point, Word, Access, essbase etc.
  • Prepares financial Reports for the Physician Business Line with appropriate statistics based on work RVUs and FTEs. 
  • Reviews, analyzes variances and distributes all monthly reports to the practices and disseminates any additional information, as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or computer science required.
  • 5 years experience in financial analysis/accounting.
  • 2 years experience in healthcare accounting/analytics
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; significant financial analysis, financial reporting, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Exceptional knowledge of PC applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access or other database programs, and report writers.
  • MBA or MS in Accounting preferred.
