Lovelace Medical Group is hiring a Registered Nurse, Triage (Call Center) .

  • Provides professional telephone nursing care for patients following established standards and practices.
     
  • RN will support the Call Center Dept; support the incoming calls of patients that have emergency situations.
     
  •   Uses symptom based protocols to evaluate the needs of the patient .
     
  •   Advises patients about healthcare options . 
  •   Documents assessment, interventions/options offered, the agreed upon plan of care and the protocol used in the medical record . 
  •   Identifies patients who need referrals to other community agencies  
  •   Processes requests for prescription refills and lab results .
  • Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

  • Minimum: Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing
  • Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  •   Desired : Two (2) years of professional nursing experience; including one (1) year medical/surgical experience preferred
  • Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
  • Current BLS
     
  •   Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. 
  •   Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care .
  •   Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care .
  •   Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care .
  •   Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions .
  •   Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality; Management skills; strong organization and problem solving skills; works well in a team setting; communicates effectively both orally and in writing.
