  We are looking for a Registered Nurse- Device Manager to join our ElectrophysiologyTeam in Albuquerque, NM.
  This full-time job is located at New Mexico Heart Institute, the largest private cardiology practice in the state serving patients in 25 different New Mexican communities, with care delivered in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. NMHI practices state-of-the-art medicine by employing the latest cardiovascular imaging and fully integrated interventional, cardio-thoracic, and vascular surgical approaches. The Institute’s services, a number of which are conducted in conjunction with the Heart Hospital of New Mexico, located next door, address a full-range of preventive, diagnostic, treatment, surgical, and rehabilitation needs.

  Registered Nurse- Device Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • The Device Manager is responsible for oversight of the NMHI Device Clinic. This includes patient services, device and monitor technicians, and nurse operations, including the activities encompassed in the delivery of care and services provided to all NMHI customers.
  • The Device Manager ensures efficient daily operation of each assigned functional area. 
  • Develops and manages functions of the identified services lines including staffing plans, performance criteria and the like.
  • Monitor daily operations that includes staffing, scheduling, training.
  • Establishes and implements effective strategies for obtaining and maintaining appropriate certifications.
  • Implements structure and planning strategies to achieve improvement in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, physician engagement and financial measures.
  • Work with HR, as applicable, to recruit, interview and recommend applicants for hire.

Registered Nurse Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
     
  • Valid NM Nursing License or NM compact license (within 90 days of fire)
     
  • One (1) year minimum healthcare leadership experience
  • Five (5) years minimum experience in Cardiovascular or Critical Care
  •   Demonstrated experience in developing and fostering both clinical and non-clinical teams.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  
  •   Problem solving skills utilizing the nursing process of data collection, analysis, decision making, implementation and evaluation. 
  •   Strong leader with mature sense of priorities, professional maturity and solid practical experience in managing relationships and key performance metrics in the health care setting. 
  •   Management skills; strong organization and problem solving skills  
  •   Works well in a team setting
  •   Communicates effectively both orally and in writing
