Lovelace Medical Group is now hiring a PRN - Radiology Tech.

  • The X-Ray Tech performs x-ray studies ordered by physicians and nurse practitioners; maintain x-ray supplies and equipment.  Follow appropriate guidelines and maintain medical films.  Maintain all licenses.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum:  Associates Degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent. 
    Desired: Bachelor of Science Degree; Formal Radiology Technology Education.  Formal Radiology Technology Education. 
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to perform x-ray testing. 
  • Knowledge of radiology equipment.  Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics, and patient movement. 
  • Skill in properly positioning patients. 
  • Skill in identifying equipment problems. 
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. 
  • Ability to apply written guides and standardized work practices. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly. 
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have the physical endurance to stand and walk for long periods of time (3-4 hours).
  • One (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
    Desired:  One year experience as a Tech, X-Ray Technologist
  • Must have completed course in radiologic technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and maintain current (ARRT) certification and be certified by the State of New Mexico.
