Occupational Therapist/OT: Full-Time- Days, Albuquerque, NM

  We are looking for a Full-Time Occupational Therapist to join our Westside Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.   This position will cover both weekday and weekend shifts. 

This Full-Time job is at Lovelace Westside Hospital- we provide care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio Rancho, including the area’s only inpatient pediatric unit, a kid-friendly emergency room and senior care emergency room services. Named a Pinwheel Champion by the Institute for Patient and Family-Centered Care.
  Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities and Duties:

The Occupational Therapist/OT is responsible for providing occupational therapy treatment in the rehabilitation of individuals with developmental, physical, cognitive and/or emotional impairments, disabilities and/or handicaps. This individual provides detailed and concise documentation of evaluation, treatment, interim reports, and discharge evaluations within departmental timelines. The OT provides all necessary documentation required for on-going patient care.

Occupational Therapist Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Desired: Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • No directly related experience required
  • Desired: One (1) year experience in job related environment
  • Current Licensure or licensure eligible in Occupational Therapy in State of New Mexico
  • Current BLS
  • Ability to communicate effectively and finish tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to follow oral and written instruction and established procedures
