Lovelace Shared Services is now hiring a Manager, Centralized Patient Access Scheduling and Insurance Verification. 

  • The Manager, Centralized Patient Access Scheduling and Insurance Verification plans, organizes and directs the activities for assigned area.
  • Administers the credit and collection policies in conjunction with System policy and Business Services Accounts receivable goals. 
  • Responsible for all activities pertaining to the collection of accounts receivable for Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs, PPOs, and insurance plans and any other third party accounts receivable.
  • May be responsible for the oversight of the revenue cycle process for assigned department.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Bachelors Degree; Equivalent experience may be used in lieu of Education. 
  • Desired:  Master’s in Business Administration or Healthcare Finance
  • Five (5) years of experience in managing technical and administrative aspect of physician billing and accounts receivable


Essential Functions:

  • Plans, organizes and directs the activities for assigned area in order to meet cash goals and meet or exceed accounts receivable targets for days in accounts receivable.
  • Establish and implement goals for the department to ensure goals and meet service needs.
  • Interacts with private and government payers to facilitate the prompt payment of accounts receivable.
  • Call Center / Customer Service
  • Facilitates effective individual and team performance by providing continuous feedback, recommending/administering appropriate motivational and/or incentive programs, measuring results and soliciting employee ideas for improved performance.
  • Takes ownership of assignments, special projects, pilot programs; other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
  • Cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to “service”.
  • Meets Budget (Operating & Capital) for assigned areas.
  • Mentors, coaches, develop subordinates to accomplish goals.
  • Develops policies, processes, strategies and goals that support Department/Corporation direction.
