  We are looking for an OR   Materials Coordinator   to join our Materials Management Team in Albuquerque, NM.
This full-time job is located at Lovelace Westside Hospital, which provides care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio Rancho, including the area’s only inpatient pediatric unit, a kid-friendly emergency room and senior care emergency room services. Named a Pinwheel Champion by the Institute for Patient and Family-Centered Care.

  OR Materials Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and assists with the daily support operations to include inventory management and control. 
  •   Provides supply management for OR/Specialty area through maintaining, monitoring and adjusting physician preference inventory areas, processing requisitions, tracking/expediting of orders, and managing new product requests and conversions. 
  • Assists with the research and implementation of opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce cost. Evaluates and adjusts par levels for cost effective par. 
  • Manages expired and obsolete inventory.
  • Processes consignment and bill-only requisitions accurately and timely including contract verification. 
  • Effectively works with vendors on un-authorized supplies, documentation issues and/or revised pricing. 
  • Effectively works with purchasing and corporate for item add/activations and contract issues. 

OR Materials Coordinator Education and Experience Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Desired: Post secondary education
  • Two (2) years of related experience of which one (1) year must have been in Materials Management or Clinical Area
  • Computer Literacy, to include MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel)
  • Inventory management computer system experience
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, excellent communication and problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and tasks. Ability to deal with stressful situations.
