  We are looking for a Lead Patient Account Representative to join our Business Office Team in Albuquerque, NM.
  This full-time job is located with Lovelace Shared Services, organizational support departments for all Lovelace facilities including Coding, Finance, Health Information Management, Revenue Cycle, Marketing, and the Resource Team.   Lead Patient Account Representative Job Responsibilities:

  • Functions as a lead for assigned departments and responsible for overseeing daily operations for assigned area to include but not limited to training, maintaining SSI contracts, EFT Banking, Working special projects, and system testing for all applications.
  •   Serves as liaison between Cash Manager and team to facilitate all communication, process improvement, and enhancement to the team. 
  • Maintains and facilitates all banking EFT set up and processing for all payers including SSI and vendor setup.
  •   Ensures that all billing is complete and work queues are completed worked in a timely manner, will jump in and assist with any Billing/Work Queues that need to be completed on a daily basis. 
  •   Will also assist with visits that are on the Dashboard for both Markets. Communicates any new processes with Billers. 
  •   Assists Billers with any questions. 
  •   Research’s any trends and reports these to Upper Management. Completes any Charge Integrity Audit Logs and or any other Audit Logs as they come in and ensures that they are completed and billed in a timely manner and sent back to Upper Management. 
  •   Works any projects that are sent for rebills and ensures that all claims are rebilled as needed. 

Lead Patient Account Representative Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Two (2) years of job related experience preferably in a Healthcare business environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently
  • General Accounting and bookkeeping skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Knowl edge of medical billing and medical terminology
