Summary of Job Duties:

Responsible for providing administrative support to the Field HR Director and other members of the HR Department.  Committed to providing quality customer service and ensures a professional and responsive office atmosphere by dealing discreetly with sensitive and confidential information of a significant nature.  Coordinates new hire activity to ensures that proper documentation is obtained on a timely basis.  Coordinates the activities of the HR Department and ensuring all information is current and accurate with respect to any state and federal laws such as job descriptions, employee files, and educational documentation. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Essential Functions:

  1. Responsible for all data entry of all personnel transactions for designated facility(s).
  2. Reception of all walk-in traffic and phone calls to answer general questions and provide routine information for employees and callers, including employee verifications, following LSHS guidelines and policies.
  3. Generates specialized, confidential HRIS reports, statistical information, pay data and relevant information from the records of active and terminated employees
  4. Provides administrative support for the HR Director, HR Generalist and Recruitment & Workforce Retention Specialist as needed.
  5. Assists in completing new-hire paperwork, instructing new-hires regarding health screening as well as serving as a back-up in the New Hire Orientation process.
  6. Takes ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
  7. Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
  8. Cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to “service”

Education:

Minimum:  High School Diploma/GED equivalent

Desired: 2 years formal education preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Intermediate to Advanced PC skills.  Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.  Ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and consistency. 

Experience:Two (2) years previous job-related clerical/administrative experience.
