Lovelace Regional Hospital Roswell/Lovelace Medical Group is now hiring a Director of Practice Operations for our ambulatory Physician Practices.

We are seeking a mature, self-motivated individual to join the Lovelace team in this exciting opportunity supporting our Roswell ambulatory physician practices. In this position you will be responsible for the oversight of Roswell clinic operations, personnel and financial management and will support the physician offices in achieving optimum performance by ensuring continuity and quality of patient services through daily operations management.  You will partner with our Lovelace Regional Hospital and Lovelace Medical Group administration to ensure overall patient satisfaction and positive financial performance. This position also provides opportunity for engagement in strategic planning and provider recruitment. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
  • Providing leadership;  demonstrating the ability to influence, motivate, manage, train, counsel and develop staff to work toward their highest level of function, in accordance with job descriptions and competencies.
  • Working closely with physicians to ensure patient and surgical scheduling is meeting acceptable standards; developing office guidelines with physician direction and input to ensure the office performs smoothly and meets defined objectives.
  • Monitoring daily office achievements, up front collections, billing/collections to assure processes are working, monies are collected appropriately and reimbursements are accurate.
  • Delegate to staff effectively, demonstrating the ability to utilize available resources appropriately.
  • Support, interpret and monitor compliance with regulatory, quality and other clinical operational outcomes.
  • Evaluating circumstances using good judgment and ability to set priorities in decision-making, problem solving, and electing cooperation.  Develops strategy and adheres to operational goals assigned to clinics.
  • Implementing staff and program development/maintenance of high performance standards, good communications and positive employee relations while ensuring departmental staffing levels meet the needs of the organization.
  • Effectively understand instructions and share knowledge
  • Developing polices, processes, strategies, and goals that support the clinic’s direction and alignment with Lovelace Health System
  • Taking ownership of assignments, special projects and pilot programs
  • Communicating and listening effectively with internal and external customers

Education:

Minimum:  Bachelors Degree in Nursing; Relevant education and/or experience may be substituted for one another in accordance to policy.

Desired:  Masters Degree

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to influence, motivate, manage, train, direct, counsel and develop staff; communication and positive employee relation skills; knowledge of regulatory standards for compliance.

Experience:

Five (5) years relevant clinical experience of which three (3) years must have been in a management capacity.  Relevant education and/or experience may be substituted in accordance to policy.

Licensure:

Minimum: CPR; Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
