Materials Management Director, Materials Management, Full-Time job, Days, Albuquerque, NM

  We are looking for a Materials Management Director to join our Materials Management team in Albuquerque, NM.
  This full-time job is located at Lovelace Medical Center, an acute care hospital providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, cardiology, stroke care, radiology and oncology services, including the state’s only Gamma Knife Center for non-invasive radiologic brain surgery.

  Materials Management Director Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support of the Lawson Procurement module and support for the operational functionality of the applicable Lovelace facility, including the directing of personnel in purchasing/contracting in the most efficient, effective and timely manner in accordance with all corporate and facility policies and procedures, and consistent with the policy on ethical practices.
  • Responsible for directing the administration, strategic and operational aspects of materials management acquisition, distribution and services for assigned facility.
  • Manages department to ensure materials and supplies are maintained and distributed in compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements. 
  • Manages and oversees Biomed, rentals, inventory, and asset management. 
  • Facilitates capital projects as needed.
  • Develops and monitors a variety of analytical and statistical reports to assist with departmental forecasting and purchasing decisions. 
  • Investigates and analyzes supply cost variances and budgets; reports findings timely to necessary parties.

Materials Management Director Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study, relevant experience may be substituted for education in accordance with policy
  • Two (2) years of directly related experience. Two (2) years of management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to manage and direct effectively
  • Experience with purchasing principles, systems, A/P, contract administration, contract laws, freight and hospital equipment and supplies
