About us: Lovelace Shared Services - Organizational support departments for all Lovelace facilities including Coding, Finance, Health Information Management, Revenue Cycle, Marketing, and the Resource Team.  We are dedicated to exceeding our customers’ expectations in every way.

Lovelace Shared Services is now hiring a Community Health Worker for the Labor of Love Unit.

  • Coordinate and provide services and resources to an individual/family necessary to develop and facilitate a personalized intervention plan based upon barriers and health care issues identified through telephonic and/or on-site screening process.
  • Facilitates appropriate utilization of resources through identification of alternatives, prevention of duplication/inappropriate use of services.
  • The Community Health Worker will provide patient navigation and support for the maternity population.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Must be able to communicate effectively. Computer skills useful.


  • Minimum: High School Diploma
  • Desired: Associates Degree or Degree from Accredited College
  • Technical/Formal Training: Bilingual-English/Spanish Medical terminology
  • Prefer Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively, function independently, manages time efficiently, organize workflow and maintain confidentiality;
  • Ability to balance business needs with patient advocate services.
  • Knowledge of community and state resources.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Computer skills
  • Experience One (1) -Three (3) years recent related experience
  • Licensure Valid NM Driver’s license.
