  We are looking for a Clinical Resource Director to join our Materials Management team in Albuquerque, NM.
  This full-time job is located with Lovelace Shared Services, organizational support departments for all Lovelace facilities including Coding, Finance, Health Information Management, Revenue Cycle, Marketing, and the Resource Team.   Clinical Resource Director Job Responsibilities:

  • Works directly with Physician and Nursing staff on the appropriate adoption of new technologies and implantable devices. 
  • Serves as a liaison between the clinical staff and the supply chain organization, balancing the clinical efficacy of devices and the associated cost and reimbursement
  •   This role will represent the Lovelace Health System division in discussions related to best selection of implants and supplies for AHS System. 
  •   Provides direct leadership in the oversight and accountability for the operational effectiveness for supply expense management plan in collaboration with the Division Director and AVP of Supply Chain. 
  •   Demonstrates responsibility for solving customer challenges, ensures commitments to customers are met by soliciting opinions and ideas from customers for improvements in products and services. 
  •     Demonstrates the ability to build and maintain strong effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders within the IDN, Division and facility leadership, Supply Chain, and HealthTrust.   
  •     Establishes and meets expense savings goals of the facilities and organizations in collaboration with IDN & Division Supply Chain leadership.   
  •     Develops standardized documents, processes, and calculations for use by the supply expense management team to quantify savings solutions.   
  •     Demonstrates effective problem solving skills which includes understanding issues, able to simply and process complex issues, understanding the difference between critical details and unimportant facts, can make difficult decisions, uses consensus when possible, and communicates those decisions to others.   

Clinical Resource Director Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Licensed Registered Nurse preferred. Business, Health Administration, Nursing, or a Diploma graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with relevant acute care experience is highly preferred
  • Five (5) years of in a healthcare leadership role with experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Five years in a healthcare management position and two years consulting experience preferred
  • Desirable experience that includes demonstrated knowledge of hospital and clinical staff functions, expense management of supplies and services, and disease management
  • Demonstrated experience working with executives and the ability to work in a matrix environment is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of supply chain and value analysis for acute care hospitals. 
  • Demonstrated successful experience with project management and coordination and measurement of project deliverables. 
  • Advance computer skills with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. 
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and handles stress appropriately; communicates and executes in a matrix organizational structure; adapt to change in workload and work schedule; develops a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
  • Comfortable working directly with Physicians, Nursing leadership, Hospital Administration, and Supply Chain teams
