  We’re hiring for a Social Worker Clinical Liaison to join our Behavioral Health team in Albuquerque, NM.

This PRN job is at Lovelace Medical Center   in the heart of Albuquerque, is an acute care hospital providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, cardiology, stroke care, radiology and oncology services, including the state’s only Gamma Knife Center for non-invasive radiologic brain surgery.

The ideal candidate has one of the following clinical licensures: LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LPCC, or LMFT. This position will provide psychiatric evaluations to patients in our Emergency Room. 

  Social Worker / Clinical Liaison Job Responsibilities:

  The Social Worker / Clinical Liaison is responsible for generating admissions to meet assigned census goals and maintains   census through physical assessment, chart review, patient/family interviews, consultations with physicians and on-site evaluations. The Social Worker / Clinical Liaison identifies     and researches any potential issues for admissions. Must   have a working knowledge of healthcare operations, legal guidelines, and payer sources.

Social Worker / Clinical Liaison Education and Experience Requirements:

  •   Must maintain clinical licensure
  • Minimum: Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in managed care setting.
  • Desired: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two (2) years of previous job related experience. Valid NM Driver’s License and proof of liability
  • Working knowledge of the Centers for Medicare Services (CMS) requirements/guidelines for admissions.
  •   Knowledge of HMO’s, PPO’s, Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance plans preferred
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and consistency
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
  • Must possess the ability to work in and support a team environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
