Clinical Liaison- Lovelace UNM Rehab Hospital, PRN, Days, Albuquerque, NM
  We are looking for a Clinical Liaison to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. 

This position will primarily cover weekends.

This PRN job is located at   Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital. We provide state-of-the-art rehabilitation services for patients recovering from health care conditions such as stroke, brain injury and musculoskeletal disorders. We are the only rehabilitation hospital in the state accredited in six programs by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Clinical Liaison Job Responsibilities:

  • The Clinical Liaison is responsible for generating admissions to meet assigned census goals. 
  •   Maintains census through physical assessment, chart review, patient/family interviews, consultations with physicians and on-site evaluations. 
  • In addition, they must have a working knowledge of healthcare operations, legal guidelines, and payer sources.
  •   Identifies new business and prospective opportunities in assigned territories, and utilizes market place trends to achieve assigned admission goals. 
  •   Expedites timely admissions by assessment of patients’ options, identification of available resources .

Clinical Liaison Education and Experience Job Requirements:

  •   Required: Clinical Licensure (such as RN, LPN, COTA, PTA, RRT, OT, PT, SLP, LSW) 
  • Minimum: Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in managed care setting.
  • Desired: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two (2) years of previous job related experience.
  • Valid NM Driver’s license and proof of liability insurance.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and consistency. 
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills. 
  • Must possess the ability to work in and support a team environment. 
  • Knowledge of HMO’s, PPO’s, Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance plans preferred. 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. 
  • Has a working knowledge of the Centers for Medicare Services (CMS) requirements/guidelines for admissions.
