Clinical   Liaison

Great opportunity at Hillcrest HealthCare System (HHS) within their Central Billing Office Customer Service department.

HHS is hiring a Clinical Liaison, come join our TEAM! This role will be located in Albuquerque, NM but report to the Director of our CBO Customer Service Department in Tulsa, OK. 

The Clinical Liaison is responsible for building working relations with all Central Business office and office staff. Will perform site visits to each clinic regularly, assist new offices with go live processes.  They will be required to maintain current documentation and data required for the position. They will be Required to communicate all important information to the Central Business office and office staff.  

Essential Functions for this role include:

  • Performs a site visit to each clinic assigned to you at least once a month.  The site visit is documented and then scanned in and saved to the appropriate folder so that reviews can be performed by management or liaisons when needed from accessing the file through the network.

  • Assists new offices with go live and provide additional site visits as needed

  • Responds to phone calls/emails/inter-office mail from Offices in a timely fashion

  • Posts A/R adjustments per requests once reviewed and signed by Business Office Manager and clinic Admin Director

  • Stays current with all EPIC processes so that you are able to provide training/answers to offices when asked

  • Reports trends to the Business Office Manager so that communications can be made to Office Managers or Practice Directors to get matters resolved

  • Build postive, working relations with all Central Business Office and Office staff

  • Pull batches as requested by associates in the business office or accounting office in a timely manner

  • Meets with patients on an as needed basis to discuss concerns

  • Responsible for regular clinic manager meetings including but not limited to setting and distributing agenda and other appropriate documents as necessary                 

  • Performs additional duties as assigned


Position Requirements


  • High School diploma or equivalent required


  • Two years of medical clinic and/or medical billing experience required

Knowledge/ Skill/Abilities         

  • Demonstrate sound judgment, patience and maintain a professional demeanor at all times

  • Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment

  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize

  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Electronic medical records software

  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills

  • Creativity, problem analysis and decision making

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding required.

  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and general health care experience required

  • Excellent customer service skills, including ability to relate well with a variety of people and to sustain an attitude of respect for all individuals.

  • Commitment to a team problem solving approach
