OUR POSITION:

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Revenue CycleOperations will oversee the Centralized Business Office of Ardent HealthServices providing leadership and adherence to policy & procedures toensure the standards of operation are maintained and improved. This positionhas budgetary and or fiscal accountability through the activities of thebusiness office such as, but not limited to, monitoring, implementing, organizingand evaluation of operations.  Must actas liaison with ancillary departments within the hospitals, third party payers,physicians, physician offices, patients and their families. Must demonstrateobjectivity in decision making, utilizing facts to support strategic directionof improved operations, while removing boundaries to achieve integrate,efficient and high quality service. This position will be accountable andresponsible for the following duties:

  • Monitoring and tracking accounts receivable performance,daily, weekly and monthly in the areas of cash collections, aging trends,monthly bad debt write-off, contractual and other adjustment’s, departmentalproductivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Measurement of key performance indicators and metrics whichparallel industry standards and achieving improvement in high impact areas suchas cash flow, net revenue and reduction of bad debt expense.
  • Monitors and ensures that vendor performance stays withinthe boundaries of the statement of work, performance does not deteriorate andquality measurements within acceptable levels.
  • Assists with establishing goals and objectives that supportstrategic plans of Ardent Health Services
  • Monitors the annual department operating and capital budgets
  • Manages Daily operations of assigned departments
  • Manages performance of staff
  • Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures ofArdent Health Services
  • Achieves ongoing compliance with all regulatory agencies
  • Communicates effectively with all levels in the organizationas well as external customers
  • Selects personnel for hire and promotion at the manageriallevel as well as teaching and managing up or out staff unable to achievedesired outcomes
  • Responds proactively to employee needs and concerns
  • Facilitates consensus among divergent groups
  • Minimizes staff turnover
  • Recognizes and rewards employee’s accomplishments
  • Assists in development of competency plans and providesopportunities for learning
  • Provides continuous feedback on Business Office performanceand related corrections to processes, people and technology
  • Keeps current with emerging industry issues and providestimely guidance to management staff
  • Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively
  • Participates in performance improvement activities

POSITIONREQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ Years of current revenue cycle leadership experience of amulti-hospital enterprise CBO
  • 10+ years of revenue cycle experience in a multi-hospitalsystem
  • Revenue cycle management experience with oversight of a teamof 60+ professionals
  • For profit hospital system experience a plus
  • Epic experience is a plus
